NEW STAR WARS SECRET?! - Star Wars The Force Awakens Poster Release

So the final film poster for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released today, and the Internet basically exploded (Sorry Alderaan).

Pretty sweet right?  Characters both old and new appear, along with some familiar aircrafts (That’s right, we’re looking at you, Millennium Falcon)

In the forefront, we have our new leading lady, Rey, played by actress Daisy Ridley, who we already
know to be a scavenger on the world of Jakku, and rumoured to be the child of Han and Leia.

To the right of her, our other protagonist, Finn, played by John Boyega, appears to be holding a lightsaber that once belonged to Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Pretty telling, right? Especially considering that we already know that he served as a stormtrooper for the First Order, but for some reason left.

The masked Kylo Ren takes up a large majority of the left side of the poster, wielding his notorious custom lightsaber that quite frankly leaves us all feeling worried he’ll lose a hand. This is Star Wars, after all.

Classic fan favourites like Han Solo, C3PO and R2D2 also appear, along with our first look at Princess Leia in this film, unfortunately not sporting her classic ‘space buns’.

If something feels like it’s lacking from this poster, then you’d be right for thinking so.

Luke Skywalker is nowhere to be seen, at least as far as we know, though it has been rumoured that he’s in hiding, after Mark Hamill filmed scenes in the secluded island of Skellig Michael, off the coast of Ireland.

But wait, what’s that? In the top right corner?

Wait. Is that what it looks like?

We can’t know for sure until the film is released, but we’re betting that Death Star 3.0 is a go.

It seems to be going down well on Twitter...
He does have a point...

But at the end of the day, we all basically reacted the same:
Only 59 days to go now!

So, naturally, I'm super pumped for episode 7, but how do you guys feel? What are you hoping happens in The Force Awakens? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, thank you so much for reading & may the force be with you!

Lots of Love
